As part of the SDG "Quality Education," the Department of Chinese studies held a scientific seminar

On November 19, 2024, the Department of Chinese studies hosted a scientific seminar titled "Features and Key Directions of China's Soft Power Policy." The event brought together faculty members, doctoral students, master's students, and undergraduates from the department.
The head of the department, Yerzhan Kerimbayev, delivered a lecture highlighting China's active integration into the global community amidst globalization, as well as the strategic importance of promoting the Chinese language and culture on the international stage. Special attention was given to the role of Confucius Institutes established by China worldwide as a key instrument of its soft power policy. In his presentation, Kerimbayev emphasized that the rapid spread of the Chinese language and culture is driven by China's socio-economic development and its growing significance in international relations. Following the seminar, he provided comprehensive answers to participants' questions, sparking lively discussions.
