On the 1st of November 2024 3rd year students of the Arabic department of the specialty "Oriental Studies" under the guidance of the advisor of the Department of Middle East and South Asia A.Ye. Zhumadilova, together with the 4th year interns of the University of Egyptian Culture "Nur-Mubarak" of the specialties "Two foreign languages: Arabic-English", "Two foreign languages: English-Arabic", within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals project, point "Combating climate change", held a round table on the topic "Ecological footprints: the impact of our actions on the planet". The round table discussed the main types of environmental traces of human activity, such as transport, energy consumption, water, food production, carbon dioxide emissions, plastic use, etc., and also discussed measures to reduce their impact on the environment. The participants of the round table filled out the questionnaire "How ecofriendly are you?", having learned the level of their eco-responsibility, and tested their acquired knowledge in games on the Kahoot platform. The round table was held in Arabic and English. It was also attended by the head of the Department of Arabic Studies, Khawan A., and arabist students of the 1st year.
