Participants of the latest meeting of the “Campus in Campus” initiative included representatives from the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia: Roshafigma Binti Rasit Ali and Syarifah Zuyrina Nordin, who visited the Faculty of Oriental Studies. The guests expressed a desire to create joint educational programs, including dual-degree programs in the field of “6B02207 - Oriental Studies,” considering that the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia plans to establish a Faculty of Foreign Languages. The Dean of the faculty, Em N.B., presented the current dual-degree programs offered by the faculty, highlighting potential areas for collaboration that could facilitate academic exchange and strengthen professional ties with the university in Malaysia.

Discussions also took place with Randolph Galla, the Director of the Department of International Cooperation at Ruhr University (Germany). Dean Em N.B. detailed the specific characteristics of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, emphasizing key subjects taught in English at all levels of education: undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs. Mr. Galla expressed interest in this approach and suggested considering the organization of joint courses and programs. He also showed interest in the faculty's experience in conducting winter and summer schools and expressed a willingness for closer collaboration aimed at supporting academic mobility and the professional development of students and faculty.

The Dean noted that the Faculty of Oriental Studies actively organizes winter and summer schools for students from Japan and Korea. She emphasized that these schools serve as a starting point for bilateral cooperation, providing students with unique opportunities for exchanging experiences and cultural knowledge, as well as laying the foundation for further international programs.
