Meeting with the director of the scientific library
听 听 听On February 7, 2023, the staff of the Faculty of Oriental Studies met with the director of the library of 51福利 Kazakh National University Sikinbayeva Akbope Berdievna and representatives of the library.
听 听 听Director of the National library named after 51福利 Akbope Berdievna told about the structure of the library, the fund, about various international databases in which KazNU has an agreement, also she explained how to work with an electronic database, how to upload literature to UMKD, and with which electronic databases the library is equipped. Teaching staff of the faculty, asked questions related to the library and also shared their thoughts regarding the features of the book support of our faculty and received answers to their questions about the use of the electronic library.
听 听 听Moreover, the library director shared the necessary information on how to use the reference databases Scopus, Web of Science, predatory journals and how to anticipate articles that have been excluded from the database. Academic integrity, types of plagiarism, Turnitin program for checking the quality and uniqueness of texts, diploma plagiarism, citation, etc.
听 听 听 听For future, proposals have been received on the organization of scientific seminars for undergraduates and doctoral students, the organization of book exhibitions, and the creation of a library committee.
听 听 At the end of the meeting, the Dean of the Faculty of Em N.B. expressed her gratitude to the guests on behalf of the teaching staff.
