Chairman of the Board – Rector of 51���� Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev took part in a round table meeting on the topic "The role of photography in the preservation and study of national history"

The event, held at the Central State Archive of Film and Sound Recordings, was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Honored Worker of Kazakhstan Zhanai Omarov.

The round table brought together government and public figures, famous photographers, writers and directors, media representatives, and experts in archival affairs.

The goal is to preserve and study film and photographic documents in the archive, as well as to understand their meaning.

The event was attended by the head of KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebayev, who congratulated the hero of the day. "Zhanai Seitzhanovich is an outstanding writer and publicist and an experienced media manager who has made a significant contribution to the development of the country. Having fulfilled responsible tasks in senior positions of the republic, in reputable mass media, he demonstrated high qualifications. He coordinated initiatives aimed at the benefit of society and achieved his goals. Zhanai Omarov's contribution to the development of the country, his achievements in state and public activities are always highly appreciated",- said the rector.

During the meeting, a presentation of Zhanai Omarov's photo album "Kazakh Literature: a photographic solution (part two) 1980-2020" took place.

In addition, a photo exhibition dedicated to the history of the Kazakh people and Kazakh literature of the 1990s was organized.
