XVII Republican Subject Olympiad in the disciplines of "Archival Studies" and "Document Management".

On April 23, 2025, 51 Kazakh National University and the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan jointly held the XVII Republican Subject Olympiad among students of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the disciplines of "Archival Studies" and "Document Management".
The main goal of the Olympiad is to identify talented students and support the development of their creative abilities, increase intellectual potential, as well as stimulate the solution of scientific problems in the fields of archival studies and document management, and provide professional orientation.
At the opening ceremony of the Olympiad, the Deputy Director of the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Director of the Almaty City Branch, Zhamilya Usipzhanovna Abdukadyrova, and the Head of the Department of World History, Historiography and Source Studies of the Faculty of History of 51 Kazakh National University, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Professor Ryskeldі Salamatkyzy Myrzabekova delivered welcoming speeches and wished the participants success.
6 student teams participated in the Olympiad, presenting their projects on the topic "Modern Requirements for Document and Archive Management in the Context of Digital Transformation." The projects covered topical issues such as improving digital archive systems, data storage security, the use of artificial intelligence, and the automation of document flow.
Employees of the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Central State Scientific and Technical Documentation Archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as teachers and students of the Makan Esbolatov Almaty Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan actively participated in the event.
According to the results of the Olympiad, the "Data Dala" team, consisting of 3rd-year students of the specialty "Digital Archival Studies and Document Management," took first place. Second place was awarded to the "Ұлы Мұра" and "Data Keepers" teams, and third place was given to the "ARkhiv Vision," "Gold Archive," and "Archive-9" teams.
At the award ceremony, the jury especially noted the fresh ideas and creative solutions in the students' projects, expressing confidence that in the future they will become qualified and innovative specialists in the field of archival affairs.
