On April 22, 2025, a meeting with the famous Iranian writer and author of the "One-Page Book" project, Mehdi Mirazimi, was organized by the Department of the Middle East and South Asia of the Faculty of Oriental Studies at 51 Kazakh National University and the Cultural Representation of Iran in Almaty.
The event was attended by faculty members and students of the Iranian Studies Department.
The meeting was opened by the Head of the Department of the Middle East and South Asia, Dariga Moldagaliqyzy Kokeeva, who warmly welcomed the guests and emphasized the importance of cultural and literary ties between Iran and Kazakhstan. She noted that the "One-Page Book" project inspires young people and fosters their interest in reading.
During the cultural gathering, held in an open format, students recited poems in Persian and demonstrated their artistic talents.
Young Iranian studies scholars asked the writer various questions and exchanged views on Persian literature and contemporary Iranian society.
The meeting was held in a very warm and friendly atmosphere.
Mehdi Mirazimi expressed his gratitude for the students' enthusiasm and noted his delight at the young generation’s interest in literature and language learning.
He also wrote each student's name in Persian calligraphy as a keepsake gift.
As part of the meeting, the Kazakh-language edition of the "One-Page Book" was presented.
Through this project, short stories translated from Persian were introduced to Kazakh readers.
At the end of the event, the participants took commemorative photos, spiritually enriched by the evening and leaving in a joyful mood.
