Republican Olympiad in Biology and Biotechnology among students
On April 21, 2025, the Republican Olympiad for students from universities across Kazakhstan in the fields of Biology and Biotechnology was held at the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology.
Student teams from all corners of the country participated in the event, representing leading universities of Kazakhstan. The Olympiad consisted of two stages: theoretical and practical, after which the results were announced, and the winners and prizeholders were determined. They were officially awarded diplomas and commemorative prizes.
While participants underwent the competition tasks, a tour of the biological museum and scientific laboratories of the faculty was organized for the team leaders. Special attention was given to the Molecular Genetics Laboratory, led by Professor Bissenbaev Amangeldy. During the visit, the guests got acquainted not only with the modern laboratory equipment but also with the scientific research projects being carried out — both current and completed ones.
The Olympiad became an excellent platform for exchanging experience, establishing scientific connections, and motivating young specialists for further development in the field of biological sciences.
