Scientific Internship of Second-Year Master's Students from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics

From April 1 to April 14, 2025, second-year master's students from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics completed a scientific internship at Baku State University (BSU). The purpose of the internship was to deepen academic knowledge, exchange experience, strengthen research skills, and build international academic cooperation.
During the internship, the students explored BSU’s research infrastructure, visited laboratories and research centers of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, and worked under the guidance of assigned supervisors from BSU’s academic staff. They participated in scientific seminars and consultations, where they discussed key topics in mathematical and computer modeling, mechanics, dynamics, and related areas.
The research internship of master's students from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics at Baku State University was conducted in alignment with several key UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Notably, the initiative contributes to SDG 4: Quality Education by providing students with access to international academic environments, enhancing their research competencies, and deepening their scientific knowledge in advanced areas such as mechanics, mathematics, and modeling. The internship also supports SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through the development of academic cooperation between Russian and foreign universities, encouraging methodological exchange and fostering joint scientific initiatives. Furthermore, the content of the internship reflects the priorities of SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, as participants engaged with modern scientific infrastructure, laboratory technologies, and innovative approaches in mathematical and computer modeling—strengthening their capacity to contribute to science-driven technological advancement.
