On April 2, 2025, as part of the implementation of SDG No. 17 "Partnership for Sustainable Development", the Faculty of Law hosted a meeting of students with the Deputy Head for Educational Work and Personnel of the Auezov District Police Department in Almaty, Police Lieutenant Colonel Umirgali Toksanbayev, as well as the Deputy Head of the Auezov District Police Department. Almaty, according to the investigation, by police Major Matakbaev Didar Zhumagalievich, organized by the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics, in order to familiarize students with the conditions and requirements for joining the police, as well as explain the specifics of the work of law enforcement officers.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Umirgali Orazgalievich spoke in detail about the document submission process, legislative knowledge tests, interview and medical examination stages, as well as career prospects and benefits of police service, including social guarantees and benefits. He noted that the candidate's personal motivation and willingness to work under stress play an important role.
Police Major Matakbaev Didar Zhumagalievich noted the importance of the work of law enforcement officers to maintain the law and protect citizens, and also highlighted the variety of positions that police officers can hold. He stressed that working in law enforcement agencies requires not only professional knowledge, but also personal qualities such as stress tolerance, the ability to react quickly and the ability to work in a team.
The police officers' lecture became a useful event for students, helping them learn more about career opportunities in law enforcement agencies. The students were active, asking questions and expressing interest in serving in law enforcement agencies.
