Winners of the Korean language competition
November 27, 2024 at the Department of the Far East, Faculty of Oriental Studies, 51福利 KazNU., with the support of the Education Center of the Republic of Korea in Almaty, held a Korean language knowledge competition as part of the Korean Studies Week. Many students took part in the competition, 18 of whom were first-year students. The competition was held with great enthusiasm and interest. The Korean language questions were tested in TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) format. Since the first-year participants in particular have only studied at the Department for 3 months and are taking a test, the Korean language questions may be a little difficult for first-year participants. However, it can be said that this is a meaningful competition because first-year participants can find out their Korean language level in advance in the middle of the semester. Participants who took prizes in the competition were awarded a cash prize and gifts.
