At 51���� Kazakh National University in  Abai Hall,  Candidate of Philological Sciences Associate,  Professor L. J. Musala,  held an open lesson- debate on the topic: "The influence of Abai's teachings on outlooks and education of modern youth" with  the  1st year students of  "Russian Philology" and "Cinema Media"  . According to the results of the draw, the students majoring in Russian Philology  accepted the position of the Government, and the students of  Cinema Media major  chose the position of  the opposition. The debates raised such questions as: "Is Abai's teaching relevant for modern youth?", "Does  the youth follow the words of Abai's edification?" and many other important  issues. The parties presented various arguments and counterarguments in defense of their sides, proving their position. According to the judges, the opposition team presented more detailed arguments, thereby defending its point of view. And with a score of 5:4, the opposition side won.

The given lesson resulted in deep understanding of the problem which was discussed at the lesson by the students. The students were able to reveal its causes and came to the conclusion that Abai Kunanbayev’s humanistic and moral  principles are still topical and significant as they make a contribution to the bringing up of our young generation. The lecturer, Associate Prof. of Abai Research Institute, Leila Musaly summed up, thanked the participants and called the students to follow Abai’s wise pieces of advice.
