"Within the framework of the 'Quality Education' item of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), cadets are studying the Persian language
At the Department of Middle East and South Asia, this academic year, three cadets from the Military Engineering Institute of Radio Electronics and Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan were admitted to the first year in the Persian group under the oriental studies program. We asked these students about their impressions of the lectures:
Shalkar Birzhanovich: The overall curriculum is designed in a very convenient way. The teachers know their job very well, and foreign lecturers also teach in the department, and there are international students. Many events are held, and there is feedback with the students.
Ivan Vorontsov: Thanks to the precise curriculum and professional teaching staff, learning Persian is progressing successfully: there are virtually no delays or misunderstandings in the studies. In two months, we have learned the basics of grammar and acquired basic communication skills. I think anyone who comes to this faculty without prior knowledge of the language can fully master it.
Mansur Zhumabayev: Of course, teachers play an important role in the educational process. Their experience is evident right away. Explaining topics by comparing them with Kazakh, Russian, and English makes working with students easier and speeds up the learning process. There are also specialists and students from abroad at the department, which helps create a language environment. The university system is designed to provide students with a quality education."
