Industrialization, Innovation and Infrastructure

On November 6, 2024, the 3rd year students of the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studies of the Philological Faculty of 51 Kazakh National University held an event on the topic: "Industrialization is an important driver of economic growth" within the framework of SDG 9 "Industrialization, Innovation and Infrastructure"
The aim of the event was to to look at the importance of infrastructure such as road infrastructure, information and communication technologies, sanitation, electricity, water supply. Achieving sustainable development requires investment in infrastructure, which can help empower citizens, their access to modern technologies and communication with the world. Improving infrastructure means an increase in living standards, medical and educational services, as well as new technological opportunities such as mobile communications and the Internet.
The event also touched on issues of industrialization. Industrialization is an important driver of economic growth and a creator of new jobs. Students discussed how infrastructure should be based on research, innovation and technological progress. In a world where more than half of the world's people live in cities, transport and renewable energy are particularly important, as is the spread of information and communication technologies. Industrialization can also help reduce environmental impacts by promoting energy efficiency and clean technologies.
