Open Lecture on Climate Change and Carbon Neutrality at KazNU

51 Kazakh National University invites students, faculty, and all interested parties to attend an open lecture dedicated to climate change, an introduction to carbon neutrality, mechanisms of carbon markets, and natural technologies for carbon sequestration.

Lecturer: Olzhas Duisen, microbiologist, ecologist, and entrepreneur.

Place: Department of Biophysics, Biomedicine and Neuroscience of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, KazNU, Almaty, al-Farabi Avenue, 71/19, room 435.

 

Start of the lecture: October 31 (Thursday) at 17:00

 

The Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology invites everyone who is concerned about solving the problem of climate change caused by human activities that have led to an increase in carbon dioxide emissions to an open lecture by the outstanding scientist and practitioner Olzhas Duisen.

Olzhas Duisen is an ecologist, microbiologist, an honorary graduate of the 51 Kazakh National University, MSc Environmental Sciences, director of the Caspian Ecological Consortium, has a climate project to remove CO2 from the atmosphere using Caspian Sea phytoplankton and the production of superfood based on a live culture of Chlorella microalgae.

The lecture is organized by the community of students and young scientists AIChE KazNU for all interested parties.

The lecture will take place on October 31 at 17.00 at the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology of KazNU, Almaty, 51 Avenue, 71/19, office. 435.
