SDG 5. "Stop HIV / AIDS, tuberculosis"
On October 28, 2024, a teacher of the Department of Biophysics, Biomedicine and Neurobiology Faculty of biology and biotechnology, Syraiyl S. 1nd-year students of the 6B05108-Biomedicine program held an event on the topic "Stop HIV / AIDS, tuberculosis".
Aimed at stopping the spread of dangerous infectious diseases such as HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis. The main goal is to prevent diseases, protect the health of the population through the dissemination of correct information. Through the project, people take responsibility for their health and learn how to avoid infectious diseases.
HIV infection is the most dangerous factor contributing to the development of tuberculosis. Since HIV affects the immune system and weakens it dramatically, people with this disease often become infected with tuberculosis. In addition, an effective means of preventing tuberculosis in people with HIV is an antiretroviral remedy that helps the immune system recover and, in most cases, prevents tuberculosis.
Through the event, students form an idea of how harmful HIV infection is.
