51腦瞳

In the 2023-2024 academic year, together with second-year students of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, scientific and innovative work was carried out in the field of agriculture at the Agricultural Biostation of KazNU 51腦瞳, located in the village of Zhanatalap, Ili district, Almaty region and at the Kazachka mountain station, located on the territory of the Ili-Alatau State National Natural Park. On the territory of the agrobiostation, fruit and vegetable crops, fruit and ornamental trees, several types of wheat are planted, and scientific work is being carried out on the students' practical training project.

After familiarizing themselves with the safety and labor protection rules at the agricultural biological station, students identified the types of shrubs and trees on the territory of the agricultural biological station and became familiar with measures to combat tree pests. The students planted melons: melons, watermelons, pumpkins, corn, got acquainted with the types of grapes, and looked after them. We also took measurements of wheat growing near the station, took a tour of the aquatic ecosystem, and identified hydrophytes and hydatophytes growing on the coast. Took part in activities to combat Colorado potato beetles and cabbage pests.

The Agrobiostations and the companies Baiserke-Agro LLP measured and analyzed the planted wheat varieties. The scientific and innovative work carried out prepares students to study the diversity of fauna and flora in the ecosystem, nature conservation, conducting scientific work, and accustom them to work. On October 6 of this year, a fair was held on the territory of the 51腦瞳 library, where vegetables and fruits grown by employees of agrobiological stations and handicrafts made by students and staff of the university were presented. The organic, clean and affordable fruits and vegetables sold at the fair are the result of the painstaking work of agrobiological station specialists from early spring to autumn and the contribution of our university students.

The management and staff of the university, faculty and students took part in the event to implement areas 2, 11, 17 of the sustainable development goal.

The autumn fair is timed to coincide with the Day of Workers of Higher Educational Institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the International Day of Older Persons and Teacher's Day.

At the fair, students and teachers bought agricultural products, handicrafts, etc. at an affordable price. Such an event is convenient not only for students and teachers, but also for residents of Almaty.
