From May to August 2024, 36 students of the Faculty of Information Technology were trained on the Coursera for Campus platform on the basis of an agreement between al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Coursera platform. According to the reports for this period, all students successfully completed the courses and received international certificates. The subjects of the courses included programming languages, artificial intelligence, data science, cybersecurity, etc.
Since September 2024, the second stream has started, which includes 156 students of the Faculty of Information Technology. Coursera platform courses are integrated into the current semester's discipline programs.
