A MASTER CLASS ON COLLABORATIVE LEARNING WAS HELD AT THE DEPARTMENT OF CHINESE STUDIES

8 october, 2024

On October 8, 2024, an associate professor of the Department of Chinese Studies Daulet F.N. and undergraduates of the 1st and 2nd courses studying in the specialty "Translation Studies" jointly conducted a master class using Collaborative Technologies. During the master class, undergraduates of the 1st and 2nd courses demonstrated joint work on solving problems, completing projects and studying theoretical material. At the master class, undergraduates presented their projects on topical issues of translation theory, which were carried out in groups. Each member of the group contributed to the common cause, which made it possible to solve practical tasks together more effectively than if the undergraduates worked separately. The emphasis was on the interaction between the group members and the creation of conditions for joint information retrieval and the exchange of knowledge and experience. Daulet F.N. regularly organizes scientific seminars, master classes and open lessons using innovative technology with the participation of undergraduates, doctoral students of different courses, as well as teachers from different universities and employers. Since last year, the professor has conducted more than 50 such events in a collaborative environment, in which the most effective methods of teaching foreign languages and translation were presented. According to Daulet F.N., competence-oriented and personality-oriented pedagogical technologies suggest that the center of the educational system is a unique holistic personality of students, striving to maximize their capabilities, open to the perception of new knowledge and experience, capable of conscious and responsible choice in a variety of life situations. According to the professor, the achievement of the above qualities by a person is the main goal of education and upbringing.
