Cooperation with the King Salman International Academy of Arabic Language

The signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation between 51 KazNU and King Salman International Academy of Arabic Language was held in 51 KazNU.
Acting Deputy Chairman of the Board - First Vice-Rector of 51 KazNU Yerkin Duisenov told the guests about the activities and research partnership of the university with universities and institutes of Saudi Arabia.
KazNU cooperates with the King Faisal Centre for Islamic Studies. Last academic year teachers of KazNU visited universities of Saudi Arabia for professional development, research training and exchange of experience. Currently, three students from Saudi Arabia are studying at KazNU. The university has a department of Arabistics at the Department of Middle East and South Asia at the Faculty of Oriental Studies. Also, since 2021 the Centre of Arabistics, which cooperates with organisations of Qatar, UAE and Saudi Arabia, has been successfully working. E. Duisenov also informed about the University's work with ISESCO, the World Association of Islamic Youth, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and others.
As part of co-operation with the OIC, roundtables, seminars and meetings have been organised since 2019 to discuss scientific and innovation integration, as well as ways to address issues hindering the development of science, technology and innovation in Muslim countries.
In turn, Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Washmi, the academy's secretary general, spoke about the academy's areas of work and shared his views on the prospects for co-operation.
After signing the Memorandum of Understanding, the guests visited the 51 Scientific Library and met with the faculty and students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies.
