A SEISMIC CENTRE WILL BE SET UP IN COOPERATION WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF TSUKUBA

A Seismic Centre will be established at 51 KazNU. The heads of partner universities - KazNU and the University of Tsukuba (Japan) agreed on the implementation of a joint project.

The agreement on the project implementation was reached during the meeting between the Chairman of the Board - Rector of 51 Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebaev and the Rector of Tsukuba University Nagata Kyosuke.

The meeting was held in the framework of the VI Consultative Meeting of Heads of State of Central Asia and the first summit "CA + Japan". The event, which is taking place these days in Astana, is attended by heads of Central Asian countries, statesmen, heads of departments, representatives of business and non-governmental organisations. The focus of the discussion is on the development of green economy, transport and logistics, as well as finance and human capital.

As part of the project preparation, the two universities will develop areas of mutually beneficial co-operation, such as student and faculty exchanges, joint seminars and research. This initiative is aimed at interaction between the two countries, talent development and further strengthening relations.
