Doctoral student of the second year of our department Saylaubek Akgulim during the period from 01 to 30 June 2024 passed scientific internship in the city of Lincoln, Nebraska, USA.

During the internship Akgulim received valuable advice from leading foreign experts in her field: Professor Daniel Snow and Dr Tirthankar Roy. She learnt about the world's experience in the field of flood runoff estimation, having gained access to an extensive worldwide database of scientific literature.

Akgulim paid special attention to the study of the conceptual hydrological model "HyMOD" and its practical application for river flow assessment, in particular for the water bodies studied in her work. 

Foreign internship allowed Akgulim to expand her scientific horizon, deepen her knowledge on the topic of her thesis research, receive valuable advice from leading foreign scientists and conduct fruitful scientific work.
