At the Philological Faculty of 51福利 KazNU the lecturers of the Department of A. Baitursynuly Kazakh linguistics, Associate Professor Sh. Ramazanova and PhD Zh. Sarsenbay organized a lesson on the topic: “Academic literacy” within the framework of “Oily bolsan, ozyp kor” IQ DODA intellectual competition which covered academic literacy theoretical and practical problems. The students from the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management took part in the competition. The intellectual - competition lesson was different from the previous competitions. It consisted of 4 stages. The questions were compiled on the lesson topic using “Kahoot. The valuable literary works by the Alash intelligentsia were maximally discussed from a cognitive and educational point of view by the students’ teams in the form of questions and answers. The lesson aimed to teach the students the rules of content-structural and technical classification of the types of scientific genres, based on domestic and world standards of academic literacy requirements when creating research texts; to improve written literacy by outlining the goals of analytical text processing in the modern information space. At the event the students demonstrated the knowledge acquired by them during the semester.
