On February 1, 2024, within the framework of “Sustainable Development Goals” project, the lecturer and the students of the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studies of the Faculty of Philology, the 1st-year master’s degree students majoring in Foreign Philology Aidarkulova Sh.A. and Aluakas Z.E. and group advisor Torekhanova R.A. conducted an educational event with the 1st-year students of “6B02304-Translation Studies” major on the topic “Elimination of Poverty.” The purpose of the open educational event was to acquaint students with the measures taken to combat poverty, to show the living conditions in the world and in Kazakhstan. The event was held in an interactive form, and 15 students took part in it. During the event, the students openly expressed their thoughts and actively participated. As a practical task, the participants were divided into three groups and created their own business plans. They learned about planned activities to combat poverty and prevent poverty in the country. The event achieved its goal.
