"THE HEART IS THE SEA, EVERYTHING INTERESTING IS A PRECIOUS STONE"

On November 21, Abai Research Institute and the "Kokzhiek" scientific and creative club "Kokzhiyok" held a literary and educational meeting - lesson on the topic: "The heart is the sea, everything interesting is a precious stone" for the 1st year students of "Literary Studies" and "Applied Kazakh Linguistics" majors of the Faculty of Philology.
The famous poet, the professional translator, the winner of "Alash" literary award , Yerzhan Alashtugan took part in the lesson. Both the topic of the lecture and the words of the poet intertwined and complemented each other. The lecturer Toregeldy Tuyakbai spoke about the categories of "Heart" in Abai' literary works, another lecturer who took part in the lesson meeting, was the head of "Kozhiek" club, Layla Musaly. She told about the traditions of Abai in Kazakh literature, manifestations of heart image in modern poetry and offered the students to ask questiona to the representative of modern poetry, Yerzhan Alashtugan.
In its turn, the poet Yerzhan Alashtugan made some additions to the topic of the lesson. He told not only about what he knew, wrote, but also about what he studied. Yerzhan Alashtugan followed not only the Abai's literary traditions but also studied Abai's literary works and shared his knowledge with the students. He noted that he had found about 300 definitions of the concept of "Heart" in Abai's literary works.
At the meeting, the students read poems such as "Dos", "Khat", "Tun", "Zhemtik", "Karasha", etc written by Yerzhan Alashtugan. It is worth noting that Yerlan Alashtugan' poetry elements are distinguished by a complex system according to the poet.
There were also the students who recited their poems. The audience especially liked "Bozarkyn atkan Ak kuyi" poem by Berdibek Adil . Yerzhan Alashtugan presented a pack of books to students who read poetry and drew kuis as a gift.
