On October 23, 2023 the Research Institute of Turkology and Altaistics of al-Farabi Kazakh National University held the round table talk on the topic: "Romano-German Philology in Modern Kazakhstan: Scientists, Concepts, Works," dedicated to the Day of European Languages”.
The round table talk was held within the framework of "AP09258780 Germanica in Kazakhstan: language, ethnicity, personality in the sociolinguistic, linguopersonal and linguadidactic view" project supervised by Baymenova L.S. (2021-2023) and funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan based on the competition results.
The organizers of the event were the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature of 51 KazNU, the Research Institute of Turkology and Altaistics of 51 KazNU, the Department of General Linguistics and Literature, Sh. Ulikhanov "Kokshetau University
The moderator of this event was Shaymerdenova Mendyganov Dzhamalbekovna, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Professor, Academician of MAIN, Member of the ANC, Member of the NEG ANC, Professor of the Department "History of Kazakhstan and Social Sciences" of Temirbek Zhurgenov KazNAI.
The main speakers of the seminar were:
• Shaymerdenova Nursulu Zhamalbekovna, Doctor of Philology, Professor of 51 KazNU, Director of the Research Institute of Turkology and Altaistics, report topic is "Scientific heritage of philologists: M.M. Kopylenko, S.E. Isabekov, A.E. Karlinsky";
• Buribaeva Mainura Abiltaevna, Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor, Vice-Rector for Science and International Relations of Korkyt University of Kyzylorda, the report topic is "Scientific and educational project: “Epoch and Personality in the context of a change in scientific and educational paradigms"”;
• Amanzholova Gemma Bolatovna, Candidate of Philology, Assistant Professor of Astana IT University, the report topic is "Internet encyclopedia with a free content: how many languages and why it needs to be replenished in the era of digitalization";
• Baymanova Lyazzat Seytzievna, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of General Linguistics and Literature of Sh. Ualikhanova Kokshetau University, the report topic is "Germanica in Kazakhstan: student education and research paradigm";
• Kairzhanova Adia Tasbolatovna, PhD student of the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature of 51 KazNU, the topic is "Bio-bibliographic dictionaries of philologists as a linguistic resource";
• Khaseinova Gulnara Sadibekovna, Master of Pedagogical Sciences, Lecturer, Department of General Linguistics and Literature of Sh. Ualikhanov Kokshetau University, the topic is "Presentation of the monograph: ”Germanica in Kazakhstan: language and personality "and the bio-bibliographic directory" Kazakhstan XXI century: Germanica in persons";
• Zhunusova Saule Erkenovna, PhD student of the Department of General Linguistics and Literature of Sh.Ulikhanov Kokshetau University, the topic is: "The role of the formation of flexible skills among future teachers of a foreign language."
The speakers emphasized the importance of the problems of bi- and polylinguism in Kazakhstan, discussed the roles and significance of the scientific heritage of Kazakh scholars in the recent era. They determined the characteristics of the multicultural environment and the features of teaching Romano-Germanic languages in particular German language.
The 1st year PhD students of the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature of 51 KazNU majoring in Russian Langage and Literature, Baimakhanova K. I., Ibraeva A. S., Kairzhanova A. T., Kikbaeva A. T., Tаzhіbayeva U. M., Urazbaeva Zh. A., took part in the event. They discussed topical and debatable issues on the topic of the round table talk such as modern philological science in Kazakhstan: scientists, concepts, works, the state of humanitarian science in the modern world and the quality of scientific publications at the beginning of the XXI century. They also talked about if there is a necessity to create an initiative scientific and educational project "Era and Personality" and considering it as a modern scientific and educational trend. They said about the possibility of judging the main directions of Kazakh Russistics and Romano-Germanic philology based on Internet sources. They showed the difference of Kazakhstani philological school and how it is manifested in the accumulated experience of teachers and scientists, based on scientific biographies and bibliographic indexes, in international cooperation.
