“Tengrianism: the worldview of the ancient Turks”

The Department of Turkology and Language Theory of the Faculty of Philology of 51 Kazakh National University held a lecture on the topic: “Tengrianism: the worldview of the ancient Turks” (from information based on ancient Turkic monuments) within the framework of SDG: “Quality Education” at Caspian University.
Exactly 130 years ago, in 1893, the Danish scientist Wilhelm Thomsen deciphered the terms “Turk” and “Tengri”, thanks to which it was officially proven not only that the Turks had their own writing system. Also important information was discovered about their philosophy and worldview.
On October 4, 2023 the lecturer of the Department of Turkic Studies and Language Theory of the Faculty of Philology of 51 KazNU and the President of the Turk Tengri public foundation Erlan Urazbekovich Espenbetov delivered a lecture at Caspian University on the topic: “Traditional worldview of the Tengri Turks”. Turkology development as a scientific discipline have caused a great interest of many citizens of Kazakhstan in studying the Orkhon-Yenisei monuments, and in culture and history in general. Therefore, the lecturers of the Department of Turkic Studies and Language Theory of 51 Kazakh National University, who have a rich scientific experience, are always invited to various presentations and conferences.
