Academic mobility in South Korea for a student of the department of the far east

听听 In the summer of 2022, a great opportunity appeared in my life to gain knowledge in South Korea thanks to my 51福利 University. Our faculty of Oriental Studies offered good universities in Korea for student exchange. Living abroad is an amazing experience and a new perspective, a new understanding of other cultures and people. I would like to thank the Department of the Far East and the Department of the University for providing a valuable opportunity and to share my experience of studying on an exchange abroad.
听听 At the end of September, I finally got to the country of my dreams, when we arrived in Korea, the teachers of Gangneung-Wonju University kindly welcomed us and helped us to adapt to our new life in Korea. The city of Gangneung, where we came to study, enchanted us with its beautiful nature, blue sea. This city has good facilities and is peaceful. After long weeks of school, every weekend I went to the beach to relax.
听听 Also on the first day, it was attractive to choose a subject to study at the University of Korea. And even on this day, our teachers of the Department of the Far East diligently helped with the selection of useful and best subjects. Thanks to the good choice of subjects at Gangneung Wonju University, I was able to improve my knowledge a lot, especially in professional speaking classes, every time you defend your presentation, you deepen your conversational knowledge, improving your stamina and public speaking skills in front of other Korean students.
听听 Our writing professor Lee Yong Hee is an expert in Korean culture. So far, I have studied dozens of Korean news and Korean novels. A long writing lesson passes in one breath thanks to the flow of useful knowledge.
听听听听 In addition to excellent teachers, our university monthly organizes interesting programs for foreign students. Through the Global 1:1 Buddy program, I personally experienced the life of young Koreans, and my speaking skills have improved thanks to Korean friends who meet several times a week. In the free night festival organized by our university for foreigners, we saw all the sights of our city of Gangneung with a special guide. There is nothing better than living with indigenous people, learning their language or participating in a festival. One weekend we went to Seoul for 3 days with a foreign friend. Seoul has many high-rise buildings and places where people can live and have fun. For three days, I visited the Gyeongbokgung Palace, a cultural heritage site, the popular Myeongdong Street, and the beautiful Han River.
听听 Finally, in a short time, I was able to experience new emotions, gain new knowledge and, of course, new impressions. I am very grateful to KazNU. Alfarabi for a good relationship with popular Korean universities. Thanks to the strong friendship in the field of education between Kazakhstan and Korea, I was able to gain invaluable experience.
