Oriental Science: the work of the young club continues

10 february, 2023

In early February, the co-founders of the Oriental science club, doctorate student of the Department of the Far East Ismailova Saule and master student Seitov Ruslan, interviewed the senior lecturer of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, PhD Serikkaliyeva Azhar Ermekovna on the instagram platform. This interview was recorded as part of the club worrking plan. The goals of the Oriental science club are to unite the scientific community of orientalists, create a cluster of young scientists and help in the research and scientific activities of undergraduates, doctoral students.

During the interview, Azhar Ermekovna gave valuable advice to students and undergraduates on how to plan and build a career in science, shared relevant skills for modern scientists. According to her, it is necessary to actively participate in scientific events, olympiads and conferences from the student bench and be far-sighted in this regard. Also students should have communication with colleagues and scientists. In addition, the interview touched upon the technical aspects of working off the state grant abroad and the employment of orientalists. Azhar Ermekovna suggested that young scientists also should try to work both in scientific institutions - at universities and foundations, and in private companies, where a second higher education may be required. And the most important thing is to reveal your potential and try different experiences: participation in group projects, work in foreign companies.
