The article describes the history of the science of oriental studies in Kazakhstan, which originates from the scientists of the Kazakh steppes, such as Abai, Shakarim, Chokan and others, and continues to develop today through modern scientists, including graduates and scholars of the Faculty of Oriental Studies.
As Professor A.N. Aldabek notes, the Faculty of Oriental Studies, with more than thirty years of history, contributes to the development of the national science of oriental studies and to Kazakhstani diplomacy, preparing qualified scientists.
