New cooperation and exchange in the New Year
On January 17, 2023, the Chairman of the Humanitarian Content Society (Professor Kim Sang Heon) and members of the Board visited the Oriental Studies Faculty of 51福利 Kazakh National University. The Korean delegation consisted of a total of 5 people (Society Chairman, Sangmyung University professor Kim Sang Heon, Seokyeong University professor Bang Mee Young, Global Cyber University professor Lee Gun Woong, Senior researcher of the Society An Woo Ri). The Humanitarian Content Society is one of the largest academic societies in Korea, and professor Kim Sang Heon has been elected as the Society's new chairman this year. Professor Kim Sang Heon, a person who 20 years ago carried out a project to digitize the newspapers "Lenin Kichi" and "Korye Ilbo" for 1938-2002, is currently the foreign supervisor of the doctoral student of the Department of the Far East Khamitova Nazerke (1st year). During the visit, the Dean of the Oriental Studies Faculty (prof. Yem N.B.) and the korean delegation discussed the joint promotion of academic events and projects in the future, and also expressed detailed views on cooperation for the development of Korean studies through the methodology of studying cultural content in Kazakhstan. At the end of the meeting, Professor Kim Sang Heon had another meeting with his student Khamitova Nazerke and Belyalova Aigerim (dissertation supervisor in Kazakhstan), and a serious discussion was held about preparing a dissertation for doctoral student.
