Recently, the leading lecturer of the Japanese Department of the Department of the Far East, Samal Borankulova, took part in the ceremony dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Kazakh-Japanese Center for Human Resource Development (KJC), which opened in 2002 on the basis of Narkhoz University as a unique project of the Japanese government agency JICA, and received a letter of thanks.
Samal Borankulova is one of the first graduates of the Department of Japanese Studies, which was first opened in the country at the Kazakh National University. Since graduation, he has been teaching Japanese at the same university and taking part in the training of specialists in Japanese studies. For several years she headed the Association of Japanese Language Teachers in Kazakhstan. In addition, she is the responsible person for international relations in the Japanese Department of the Department of the Far East. Almost all important documents related to various international programs, academic mobility programs, pass through the hands of Samal sensei. All important matters, such as correspondence with Japanese delegations, meetings, negotiations, send-offs, settlement of documents of students who leave for Japan to study under different programs, for different terms, are on the shoulders of Samal sensei. In addition to her services in concluding contracts with several universities in Japan, she also has a great contribution to the organization of winter and summer schools for Japanese students.
Samal Borankulova is also a co-author of the Japanese version of serial phrasebooks for bank employees and consumers of financial services, covering 12 of the most common languages of the world, prepared within the framework of the project "Educational and methodological and dictionary-reference complex of the Kazakh language for the financial and banking sector" and the Kazakh version of the main textbook of the Japanese language "Minna no Nihongo". She also had a hand in translating Abai's legacy into Japanese, taking part in the project of translating the poet's works into 10 languages, organized by the National Translation Bureau, as part of the celebration of the 175th anniversary of Abai.
On this anniversary of the Japanese Center, along with such people as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Association of Japanese Businessmen of Kazakhstan, the possession of such an award is an indicator of the long-term fruitful work of senior lecturer, Master Samala Borankulova in the field of teaching Japanese.
