Arabic Language: From Past to Present

Despite the variety of methods and approaches in teaching a foreign language, the method of language immersion has always remained as the most advanced and effective, undisputed leader in helping students learn and master a foreign language. Understanding the value of live communication with native speakers, both for obtaining new knowledge and for activating already acquired knowledge, on the basis of the Department of the Middle East and South Asia, on November 25, a meeting was organized for students of the specialty "Oriental Studies" "Translation Studies" (Oriental languages - Arabic) with Ayyash Abdulla- an educator from the University of Montana USA, Missoula, Montana, where our students could learn from the experience of their colleagues and could ask their questions.
The Deputy Dean for Scientific and Innovation Activities and International Relations of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Professor S T Dzhakubayeva, PhD, Associate Professor A. Mustafayeva and Deputy Head of the Department for Science F.T. Zhumazhanova were present at the meeting with Ayyash Abdulla, where immersion techniques as well as the skills necessary for effective communication in the 21st century were clearly worked out and demonstrated.
Ayyash Abdullah shared best practices in teaching Arabic at Montano University with our participants and guests. The master class of Ayyash Abdullah caused a heated discussion, which continued after the end of the main part of the meeting. The lecturer and participants of the event received memorable prizes and letters of thanks. The organizer and moderator of this significant event was the candidate of philological sciences and associate professor of the Department of the Middle East and South Asia F.Z. Mamedova.
Round tables, meetings, seminars, trainings of this kind are an important engine in the constantly evolving process of transferring fundamental knowledge to our students.
We thank the organizer and participants of the practical workshop. It is also important to mention that Ayyash Abdullah was pleasantly surprised by the high level of Arabic language proficiency of the students of our university.
