Educational program
The aim of the educational programme is to train internationally competitive specialists with fundamental and applied skills in the field of modern materials engineering, ready to plan and conduct independent research using modern materials analysis tools, to develop new materials technology and implement research results in educational and methodological activities and production.
ON1 Expound modern methodology of fundamental and applied research in the field of new materials engineering, including the latest methods for characterization of material properties.
ON2 Propose ways to modify the properties of semiconductor materials to extend the functionality of traditional materials and devices based on them
ON3 Select optimal and highly effective methods of scientific research in the field of materials engineering to solve urgent problems of power engineering.
ON4 Develop a strategy and plan of research activities, the implementation of which will lead to achievement of a high-quality result.
ON5 Predict electronic properties of new materials and characteristics of devices based on them using modern computational research methods for materials and structures.
ON6 To carry out scientific and pedagogical activity in the sphere of graduate and postgraduate education on the basis of innovative approach - integration of modern and information technologies of teaching with the latest knowledge in the field of materials science.
ON7 To create prototypes of new generation electronic devices with the use of advanced phase-change materials and identify the main consumers of the scientific result.
ON8 To draw up applications and results of scientific research in the form of scientific documentation: articles in highly rated journals in the field of materials science, applications for patent documents and grant funding projects, tutorials and monographs.
ON9 Generate new technological solutions and ideas by integrating knowledge of physicochemical features of materials, modern intellectual and progressive technologies with dynamically developing consumer demands.
