REPRESENTATIVES OF CHINESE ENTERPRISES GOT ACQUAINTED WITH THE SCIENTIFIC POTENTIAL OF KAZNU

A meeting with a delegation of enterprises from Shaanxi Province of the People's Republic of China was held at the al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
During the meeting, member of the Board of KazNU, Vice–Rector for Research and Innovation Margulan Ibraimov spoke about the university's international relations, achievements in science and education, as well as ongoing projects.
The Chinese delegation visited the Farabi HUB innovation center and got acquainted with the ecosystem of modern startups and scientific and innovative projects implemented at the university. The delegation members got acquainted with the work of the robotics laboratory, the National Center for Remote Sensing of the Earth, the supercomputer complex and highly appreciated the digital and scientific engineering potential of the university. The guests also visited the KazNU Center for Medicinal Plants, where they got acquainted with new research products based on medicinal herbs and biologically active substances.
The Chinese delegation included representatives of leading enterprises and organizations in Shaanxi Province. Among them are the innovative TusStar platform, specializing in supporting startups and attracting investments, Shaanxi Tiancheng Software, a leading IT company in the field of software development, Xi'an Yisheng Import & Export Trading Co., Ltd., specializing in international trade and logistics, Shaanxi Guotai Deepure Trading Co., Ltd., working in the field of natural products and biotechnologies, as well as a large enterprise Shaanxi Medical Industry Co., Ltd., manufacturing medical equipment and pharmaceutical products.
The parties discussed specific proposals and initiatives to further develop mutually beneficial cooperation and expressed interest in implementing joint projects in the fields of science, technology, innovation and education.
Research in these areas can become the basis for partnerships in the field of efficient use of natural resources, pharmaceuticals and biotechnologies.
