An official meeting was held at the 51���� Kazakh National University with a delegation from the Department of Science and Technology of the Ili-Kazakh Autonomous region. The parties discussed ways to achieve common goals in the field of science and technology.

The meeting was opened by Yerkin Duissenov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board and First Vice–Rector of the University. "Our university is always open for international partnership. Today, KazNU cooperates with 65 universities and scientific organizations of the People's Republic of China. The University successfully operates the Department of Chinese Studies, the Confucius Institute and a number of joint research centers. We are ready to share scientific experience, create joint research platforms and move forward on the basis of mutually beneficial cooperation", Yerkin Duissenov said.

In turn, Erbol Magau, Director of the Department of Science and Technology of the Ili-Kazakh Autonomous Region, expressed gratitude for the warm welcome. Speaking about the activities of his department, he stressed: "Our goal is the joint development of modern scientific technologies. Currently, we are focusing on two key areas – the production of camel milk products and biotechnological research. We are confident that we will be able to expand scientific cooperation and achieve effective partnership in these areas"

The representatives of the delegation also highly appreciated the university's contribution not only to the development of science and education, but also to the formation of comprehensively developed personalities. The guests noted that joint research in the fields of biotechnology, medicine and ecology opens up new horizons for cooperation between the two countries and raises it to a qualitatively new level.

The parties discussed the importance of implementing joint projects focused not only on academic cooperation, but also on obtaining specific production results.
