Partnership for Sustainable Development

29 april, 2025

On April 29, 2025 the  senior lecturer at the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation at the Faculty of Philology, Bayeli  A.Zh., held a meeting with students of Dormitory No. 17 . TheA.Zh.ic of the meeting  was "The importance of partnership between Governments, the private sector and civil society" within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 17)  Partnership for Sustainable Development.
The goals of activating the global partnership for sustainable development include activating and improving partnerships between Governments, the private sector and civil society. The Sustainable Development Goals can only be realized with the right intention for global partnership and cooperation so that no one is left behind on our path of development. In the world, low- and middle-income countries are facing debt problems and they are experiencing difficulties. Developing countries are struggling with an unprecedented increase in external debt levels following the COVID-19 pandemic, reflecting record inflation, rising interest rates, and an urgent need for debt relief and financial assistance.
The students had a mutual discussion on this goal, everyone should mobilize existing and additional resources, and developed countries should fulfill their official obligations to promote development. Efforts to achieve global partnership and cooperation should be carried out systematically in civil society in each country, involving representatives of business and various interest groups. At the regional level, countries share experiences and resolve common issues, and every year at the United Nations high-level political forum on Sustainable development, they take stock of what is happening and development at the global level, identify gaps and emerging problems, and propose corrective measures.
