Meeting of students with judges of Almaly district court of Almaty.
On April 19, 2025, as part of the implementation of SDG No. 17 "Partnership for Sustainable Development", students of the Law Faculty of al-Farabi Kazakh National University met with judges of the Almaly District Court of Almaty, organized by the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics, in order to deepen students' practical knowledge, familiarize themselves with the work of the judicial system from the inside, as well as the formation of the legal culture of future specialists.
During the meeting, the judges spoke about their professional activities, the structure and functions of the court, the judicial decision-making process and current issues of law enforcement practice. Special attention was paid to the ethics of judges, the independence of the judiciary and the role of the court in protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens. The students were active and asked a lot of questions they were interested in. Topics such as a career in the judicial system, the specifics of civil and criminal cases were discussed in a lively dialogue. At the end of the meeting, the judges expressed hope for further cooperation with the university and stressed the importance of such events for the training of qualified personnel in the field of jurisprudence.
The meeting was held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere, allowing the students to gain valuable knowledge and practical advice from existing experts. Such events contribute to the formation of an informed professional choice and increase motivation for learning.
