On April 24, 2025, a meeting of the Academic Council was held at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of 51���� Kazakh National University.

Under the chairmanship of the Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, candidate of historical sciences Natalya Borisovna Yem, the issue of monitoring the preparation of diploma and dissertation works by graduating students and master's degree candidates was considered.

During the meeting, heads of departments presented reports on the progress of diploma and dissertation works preparation, highlighting key achievements and identifying existing challenges.

Following the discussion, the following recommendations were made:

• pay special attention to the quality of the research component of diploma and dissertation works;
• regularly conduct preliminary reviews of diploma works at department meetings;
• strengthen career guidance activities among graduates.

The meeting was held in a constructive atmosphere, and specific measures were developed to improve the effectiveness of the final certification of students and master's degree candidates.
