On April 25, 2025, within the framework of the implementation of the 16th UN Sustainable Development Goal, the Department of Customs, Financial, and Environmental Law, together with the "Zhetysu" customs post, organized a field trip for law faculty students to the "Zhetysu" customs post. The event was attended by PhD Doctor K.M. Kozhabek and Professor G.T. Aigarinova.
Aikerim Abukhanovna Aliaskarova, the Chief Specialist of the "Zhetysu" customs post, provided a comprehensive introduction to the customs control objects, the procedures for conducting them, and the measures to ensure customs control. She explained the operating principles of the instruments, devices, X-ray machines, and radiation monitoring technologies used during customs inspections.
Students were also given detailed explanations about personal inspection procedures as one of the customs control forms.
Additionally, the students were shown the temporary storage warehouse area, and were introduced to its operation rules, the procedure for customs clearance of goods, and methods for determining the customs value of goods.
Erkin Timurovich Nurelov, Chief Specialist of the customs post, delivered an extensive presentation about the operations of the post, sharing various challenging and fascinating aspects of customs service work.
Nursultan Iglikovich Kulbarakov, Head of the "Zhetysu" customs post under the Almaty City State Revenue Department, gave a thorough overview of the post’s achievements, future goals, customs control enhancement issues, and the contribution of the customs post to the country’s economic and national security.
