International scientific and practical conference titled “Current Issues of Customs and Tariff Regulation in the Context of International Economic Integration”.

On April 22, 2025, the Faculty of Law at 51 Kazakh National University hosted an international scientific and practical conference titled “Current Issues of Customs and Tariff Regulation in the Context of International Economic Integration”.

The conference was organized by the Department of Customs, Financial, and Environmental Law. The opening ceremony featured welcoming speeches by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Candidate of Legal Sciences, Acting Professor Ualikhan Akypbekovich Akhatov, and the Head of the Department, Doctor of Legal Sciences, Professor Guldan Amandykovna Kuanaliyeva. They highlighted the importance of enhancing customs law, promoting digitalization, and fostering regional cooperation through digital corridors in the context of international economic integration.

The following topics were presented during the session:
- Sailaubek Tynyshbekovich Alibekov(International Transport and Humanitarian University, Doctor of Law, Professor) — The History of Kazakhstan's Participation in Integration Processes in the Post-Soviet Space;
- Aikerim Abukanovna Aliaskarova (State Revenue Department of Almaty) — Practical Issues in Customs Affairs;
- Serik Niyatbayev (SYNTRON, USA) — Modern Customs Technologies;
- Sadyk Tenirbergenovich Yesimkulov (South Kazakhstan State University named after M.O. Auezov) — The Legal Status of Transboundary Water Resources;
- Boburshoh Bohodir Ugli Ibragimov (Tashkent State University of Economics, online) — Issues of Economic Security;
- Alua Salamatovna Ibraeva (KazNU) — The Role of Law in the Modern World.

The conference also included contributions from Talgat Akhatzievich Khasanov, Director of the “EPI” Research Institute at Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz, and Alexander Vitalyevich Bashirov, the head of the institute’s laboratory, who shared their views on the scientific and practical aspects of customs regulation based on sectoral research.

KazNU lecturers, including Kanat Muratovich Kozhabek, Gulnar Toleukhadirovna Aigarinova, Nurbol Satybaldyevich Zhetibaev, Gulnur Koishynkyzy Rasheva, and Elvira Serikbayevna Kuandykova.
