28 april, 2025

On April 28, 2025, the library of 51 Kazakh National University hosted an international scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Department of Language and General Educational Training of Foreigners at the Faculty of Pre-University Education.

The main goal of the conference, titled "Humanities in the Digital Age: Opportunities and Limitations of Artificial Intelligence", was to foster scientific and educational dialogue in the context of digital transformation, to thoroughly discuss the potential opportunities and challenges of applying artificial intelligence in the humanities, and to develop practical recommendations for the effective integration of modern technologies into scientific research and the educational process.

The conference brought together prominent scholars, professors, researchers, and practitioners from Kazakhstan and from leading universities and scientific institutions of countries such as the United States, France, Japan, Turkey, Poland, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan. Participants discussed pressing issues in science and education in the digital era, exchanged experiences, and presented their scientific studies related to artificial intelligence.

The conference served as an open dialogue platform for exploring new approaches to implementing modern technologies in the educational process and for proposing innovative solutions to improve the quality of education. This fully aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 — Quality Education, particularly in promoting inclusive and equitable education, integrating modern technologies (including artificial intelligence and digital transformation) into the learning process, and developing innovative lifelong learning methods.
