KazNU has opened a center for the study of healthy nutrition

A Kazakh-Chinese Center for Healthy Nutrition Research has been opened on the basis of the Scientific Research Center for Medicinal Plants of the 51 Kazakh National University.

The Center was opened by Chairman of the Board – Rector of KazNU, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, and Professor of the Faculty of Nutrition and Health of Beijing University of Technology and Business Liu Xingqi.

This scientific center will allow deeper study of medicinal plants growing in our country. In particular, an analysis of the properties and composition of soybeans in Kazakhstan will be carried out. As a result, work will be carried out to develop types of food from soybeans that are useful for the human body.

During the meeting, Zhanseit Tuimebayev informed the honored guests about the scientific infrastructure of KazNU and focused on the university's joint work with Chinese universities.

"Currently, KazNU has close ties with almost 60 Chinese universities. At the same time, we intend to further deepen cooperation with the Beijing University of Technology and Business. In particular, we are ready to implement joint research projects, exchange teachers and students, and hold joint scientific conferences and symposiums", - said the rector.

In turn, Chinese Professor Liu Xinqi thanked the leadership of the educational institution for the warm welcome and spoke about his scientific and innovative project.

"Beijing University of Technology and Business is one of the leading universities in the field of biology. Our scientific group has developed and manufactured bread, meat, drinks, and ice cream from soybeans that are beneficial to the human body. They help regulate blood pressure and cleanse the gastrointestinal tract. It also gives a person energy. These products are currently sold in China. Today we intend to supply these products to the market of Kazakhstan. The center, opened today, is aimed at a comprehensive study of soybeans and other useful plants in Kazakhstan", - he said. Liu Xingqi..
