KazNU discussed the development of artificial intelligence

The traditional international forum "Digital Farabi - 2025" was held at the Al–Farabi Kazakh National University.
This year's forum was dedicated to the topic "Artificial intelligence and high-performance technologies in the development of the economy of Kazakhstan"
The large-scale event was attended by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek; Chairman of the Board – Rector of 51 Kazakh National University, Zhanseit Tuimebayev; Senior Corporate Business Development Manager of NVIDIA Corporation, Anton Dzhorayev; Training Manager of ASUS, Almat Abilkhan; as well as qualified IT specialists, representatives of major companies and holdings, investors, young researchers, lecturers, and scholars.
The main objective is to share ideas and best practices on the implementation of scientific research in the field of artificial intelligence in the production and commercialization of innovative projects.
In his speech, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, emphasized: "Today, the field of artificial intelligence is rapidly developing on the world stage. In this regard, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has set us great tasks for the development of this area. We must keep up with the changes and innovations taking place in the world. Our task is to apply it in science, education and technology, extracting all the necessary and useful qualities from it"
Rector of 51 Kazakh National University, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, highlighted the work being carried out at the university in the field of artificial intelligence. "Kazakhstan stands on the threshold of digital transformation. Our university, as a leading scientific and educational center, is actively participating in this process. We are not only training world-class specialists but also developing innovative projects. Artificial intelligence is not just a technology — it is the key to new opportunities. Our task is not only to implement these technologies but also to create conditions for their sustainable development. KazNU places special emphasis on transforming the Kazakh language into a language of science. Our scientists are involved in improving artificial intelligence systems in the Kazakh language. We must increase the presence of the state language in information systems", - the Rector emphasized.
Anton Joraev, Almat Abilkhan, Haidar Bulkhayir, Ramazan Arangazy and Asset Ordabayev also spoke at the international forum and shared their suggestions and ideas on the development of artificial intelligence.
An exhibition of startup projects of students of Almaty universities and schoolchildren was organized within the framework of the forum. Scientific developments implemented using artificial intelligence were presented at the exhibition.
A FIFA PS tournament was also held among the students. At the end of the event, the authors of the best startups and the winners of the "FIFA PS" tournament were awarded diplomas and valuable prizes.
