TDM‑15: The “Darmarka” environmental campaign was successfully held

On April 21, the Faculty of Physics and Technology at our university hosted the “Darmarka” environmental campaign as part of the fifth phase of the Stop Musor social project implemented by the Association of Ecological Organizations of Kazakhstan.
The primary goal of the project is to preserve the environment under current conditions and to promote the efficient use of natural resources. Spreading ecological awareness and fostering habits of conscious consumption are essential steps toward sustainable development.
The Stop Musor project, launched by the Association of Ecological Organizations of Kazakhstan (an association of legal entities) in November 2024, aims to reduce household waste, increase public ecological literacy, and strengthen social responsibility.
The “Darmarka” event introduces an innovative solution to curb overconsumption and waste accumulation: participants bring items they no longer need but that remain usable and exchange them with others. This approach not only gives goods a second life but also conserves the resources and energy required to produce, transport, and package new products.
The campaign encourages youth, students, and the broader public to engage in environmental protection and helps cultivate a culture of mindful consumption. “Darmarka” stands as a simple yet powerful example of ecological action in everyday life.
