Nauryz was celebrated at the al-Farabi Kazakh National University
On April 17, al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted a large-scale festive event dedicated to the great day of the ulus. As part of the event Nauryz is a harbinger of novelty and creative spirit. National games, a craft fair, a drawing contest were organized, and theatrical performances based on traditions and customs were shown.
The celebration was attended by Malik Otarbayev, Adviser to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, Rector of the University, representatives and scientists of foreign universities, professors, students and members of youth organizations.
In his welcoming speech, Rector Zhanseit Tuimebayev spoke about the work carried out in honor of the 90th anniversary of KazNU and the importance of Nauryz. In addition, a number of the best faculties and departments were awarded.
The event continued with a concert program and a visit to the yurt exposition, which gave the guests an unforgettable experience.
