14th of April, an educational seminar titled “Water – the Foundation of Life on Our Planet” was held at the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology of 51���� Kazakh National University, organized by the Department of Biophysics, Biomedicine and Neuroscience. The seminar was aimed at first-year master’s students of the 7M05113 – Neuroscience program. The goal of the event was to raise awareness about the importance of water for life, its impact on human health and the environment, and to foster responsible attitudes toward water conservation.

The seminar was conducted in an interactive format. Students not only attended lectures but also engaged in group discussions and scenario-based tasks. The lecture portion presented scientific insights into the biological, ecological, and physiological significance of water, as well as global challenges such as water scarcity and pollution.

During the practical sessions, students discussed real-life ways to save water, proposed ideas to improve access to clean drinking water, and explored how to promote ecological responsibility in everyday life. Role-playing activities allowed participants to reflect on decision-making in situations related to water conservation.

The event concluded under the motto “Protect Water – Preserve Life!”, with students expressing their readiness to contribute to the protection and sustainable use of water resources.
