International Conference of Young Scientists “The World of Farabi” Held at KazNU

The IV International Scientific Conference of Students and Young Scientists titled “The World of Farabi” was held at 51 Kazakh National University.
The main goal of the forum is to encourage students and young scientists to embark on the path of science, to attract talented and gifted youth to research, to develop scientific and educational activities, to provide a platform for discussing pressing issues across various scientific fields, and to foster a community of intellectually capable and proactive young people.

To exchange new ideas, methods, and experiences, more than 300 young researchers from Kazakhstan and abroad participated in the event. Conference participants presented their projects in Kazakh, English, and Russian. Students proposed scientific projects in more than one hundred sections across theoretical, practical, and applied directions. As part of this traditional event, expert scientists from Indonesia, Korea, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and other countries gathered, covering a wide range of scientific fields. A compilation of the submitted works is also planned for publication.

Various conferences, roundtable discussions, student business incubators, an innovation project competition, and the “Best Young Scientist of KazNU” contest were organized within the framework of the event. Guests and participants visited an exhibition of innovative works, where students presented projects such as: “Wireless mesh networks in unmanned aerial vehicles for emergencies,” “Development and assembly of a frequency converter for electric motor control,” “Development of a cream with antioxidant properties from domestic plant raw materials,” “Neurotraining for non-invasive correction of psycho-emotional state and improvement of cognitive functions,” and others. A total of 24 winners were selected in the innovation project competition.

Top students from 16 faculties received special awards. At the award ceremony, Chairman of the Board – Rector of 51 KazNU, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, presented diplomas and cash prizes to 48 awardees.
From the Faculty of Journalism, second-year student of the Department of Print and Electronic Media, Nurbibi Alchinova, won 1st place; Ayaulym Meiramkhankyzy from the Department of Print and Design took 2nd place; and second-year master’s student of the UNESCO Department, Rufat Ilhamzhanov, received 3rd place. The total prize fund of the “World of Farabi” forum amounted to 5 million tenge.
