KazNU holds an exhibition of Chinese universitiesFarabi University

The second exhibition of Chinese universities on the theme "Education in China and the Chinese Language Exam (HSK)" was held at the 51福利 Kazakh National University.

The large-scale event was organized by the International Chinese Language Testing Center in cooperation with KazNU. About 40 leading and prestigious universities in China provided visitors with complete information about their educational institutions. They introduced the youth to the possibilities of admission to international programs and explained the admission rules. In addition, Chinese universities have recruited qualified specialists who speak Chinese.

The opening ceremony was attended by Chairman of the Board – Rector of KazNU, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, Consul for Education of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Almaty Huang Xiaoming, Deputy Director of the Chinese Language Testing Center Liu Xiao Long, representatives of Chinese universities, professors, teachers and students.

The rector of KazNU, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, spoke at the event, who noted the importance of this event. In his speech, he stressed that the exhibition, which is being held at KazNU for the second time, will give a new impetus to further deepening the partnership between the two countries in the field of science and higher education. "President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted in his speech: "China is not only a peaceful neighbor for us, but also a close friend and reliable partner. Today, Kazakh-Chinese relations, based on strong friendship, are developing at an unprecedented rate". Currently, KazNU has established partnerships with 65 universities in China, and joint projects are being implemented. Over the past two years, about 15 research centers and laboratories have been opened jointly with Chinese partners. I am sure that work in this direction will continue to develop. Today's exhibition is a manifestation of the strengthening of cooperation between KazNU and Chinese universities"- said the rector.

In turn, Huang Xiaoming, Consul for Education at the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Almaty, called on Kazakhstani students to study in China to master technology and learn Chinese in depth. "Today, according to the UN, the International Day of the Chinese Language is celebrated. In this context, the exhibition of Chinese universities, which is being held at KazNU on such a significant day, is of particular importance. This initiative provides an opportunity for the exchange of students and experience between Kazakhstan and China", - said the Deputy Consul.

"This exhibition will become a prestigious and diverse platform for Kazakhstani youth who want to study in Chinese and work in China. We intend to continue the exchange of knowledge between universities and implement new projects that will simultaneously develop cultural ties and innovative cooperation", - said Liu Xiao Long.
