An open educational hour titled “Quality Education and Spiritual Development: Qur’anic Teachings and the Identity of a Religious Studies Scholar” was held at KazNU

On April 18, 2025, an open educational hour was organized for 3rd-year students of the Religious Studies program at the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science, 51 Kazakh National University. The session, titled “Quality Education and Spiritual Development: Qur’anic Teachings and the Identity of a Religious Studies Scholar,” featured a special guest speaker — respected teacher, Islamic scholar, religious studies expert, and Arabic language specialist, Sekrukhkhan Arshyngul.

During the session, the speaker shared profound insights into the causes and solutions of spiritual stagnation in today’s society, emphasizing the vital role of Qur’anic teachings in guiding students toward meaningful knowledge and personal development. Arshyngul Khanym highlighted the importance of moral and spiritual upbringing in the formation of a well-rounded religious studies scholar. Drawing from her own academic and life experience, she demonstrated how the harmony of science and spirituality can shape a complete and balanced personality.

The event was organized by first-year master’s student Daurenbek N., pedagogical practice supervisor Candidate of Philosophical Sciences Zh. Qantarbayeva, PhD and senior lecturer N. Mukan, and academic advisor, PhD senior lecturer T.O. Amankul.

This enlightening session gave students a fresh impulse for growth, helping them to enrich their inner world and define their professional aspirations. By integrating academic knowledge with spiritual values, KazNU once again demonstrated its commitment to nurturing not only knowledgeable but also morally conscious future specialists.
